Conference Presenter, AISC, Hong Kong

Ms. Nisanart Dharmageisirattana was invited as a presenter at the Asia- Pacific International Schools Conference (AISC) in Hong Kong from December 11 – 12, 2015. This conference is organized by Diversified Communications, in partnership with the English Schools Foundation (ESF) which is the largest international schools operator in Hong Kong. The conference provided international school leaders and educators with a platform to come together and share ideas and best practices of 21st century pedagogies. The conference program was designed for the specific needs of Asia-Pacific based schools and gave participants actionable strategies to take away and implement in classrooms.
 
Ms. Nisanart Dharmageisirattana conducted a session on ‘Mindfulness in Education’ at the conference. The session was attended by educators from many international schools. The presentation provided information on the benefits and use of mindfulness in daily routine to help improve learning in classrooms.

Guest Lecturer, Thammasat University, Thailand

Ms. Nisanart Dharmageisirattana was a guest lecturer to masters and doctoral students at the ALPHA Generation Conference on “Mindfulness in Education” in November 2015, at Thammasat University.

Presenter, EARCOS Leadership Conference

Ms. Nisanart Dharmageisirattana was invited as a presenter at the EARCOS Leadership Conference which was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from October 28 – 30, 2016.

The East Asia Regional Council of Schools is an organization of 153 member schools in East Asia. These schools have a total of more than 100,000 pre-K to 12th grade students. EARCOS also has 176 associate members—textbook and software publishers and distributors, universities, financial planners, architectural firms, insurance companies, youth organizations, etc. and 35 individual members. The mission of EARCOS is to inspire adult and student learning through its leadership and service while fostering intercultural understanding, global citizenship and exceptional educational practices within our learning community. The organization  develops collaborative educational partnerships within the region as well as worldwide to foster greater access to expertise; provides targeted and differentiated professional development opportunities for member communities; connect schools, communities, and individuals through the use of technology to promote collaboration, communication, intercultural understanding, and access to broader educational opportunities; engages adults and students in learning activities across the region that will promote friendship, understanding and global citizenship; and conducts and communicates research and archive relevant data to identify and enhance exceptional educational practices.

Ms. Nisanart Dharmageisirattana conducted a session on ‘Mindfulness in Education’ at the conference. The session was attended by school leaders from South Korea, Vietnam, Myanmar, China, Singapore, and Thailand. The presentation provided information on the benefits and use of mindfulness in daily routine to help improve learning in classrooms. Participants also had the opportunity to experience varied mindfulness techniques to enhance self-awareness and reflective inner qualities. Most importantly, they were eager to learn about how to implement mindfulness as a school-wide initiative.

Presenter “Mindfulness in Education” for Private Education Day

Ms. Nisanart Dharmageisirattana, presented a workshop under the topic “Mindfulness in Education” for Private Education Day hosted by the International Schools and Association of Thailand (ISAT) and The Association of Private Schools for English Program (APEP).

ASB is one of the first international schools in Asia to integrate mindfulness techniques and skills into its existing standards of academic excellence. At the workshop Ms. Nisanart shared ASB’s curriculum highlights on the importance of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and mental development.
